Hair Types

Determining what type of hair you have can seem difficult and confusing,
but it is the first step to achieving great hair. The are four very
common terms that people use to define their hair: fine, thick, curly or
straight. There's also damaged, colored, permed, frizzy, dry, over
processed, oily, fried, etc. Most people have hair that falls into more
than one of these categories, which can make it even more difficult to
tame or repair the hair. There are two ways to determine what type of
hair you have; you can go to a salon you trust and ask a professional to
help you determine your hair type, or keep reading here on HairMatters.us about the different types of hair to determine which best
describes your hair.

Hair Products
Once you've determine what type of hair you have (see above
paragraph) you'll need the right kind of hair products for your hair
type. The amount of hair products available continues to grow and become
more and more overwhelming. It doesn't help that Hair Product companies
are continually discontinuing, re-formulating, re-naming and
re-packaging products in an effort to cut costs and stay up-to-date.
This is extremely frustrating, especially if it happens to a product
that you love and works for you. Whether you're looking for a product
for the first time, looking for a product to replace one you used to use
that you can't find anymore, or looking for a product for a specific
need, we can help you.
