Straight hair - one day at a time or until the next shampoo with a quick touch up: This is the "do it after every shampoo" answer that you probably want when you are first trying the straight hair look.  It may be the only alternative your hair stylist has offered you, so far.

If you like the straight hair you are wearing and, you want to keep it longer while spending less time to get your straight hair look you have some decisions to make.

• It's for the folks who have the time to blow dry and straighten their hair after every shampoo and time again, every day ,to touch up their "I slept on it, morning after, night time hair" to reestablish their straight look.... OR
• It's for the folks who have the panache, to wear a slightly disheveled look, because because you "like it that way" ...on the day after you shampoo their hair.

If you have the time and/or slightly disheveled looks good on you, straight hair -one day at a time- is one possible answer.

In addition to your blow dryer you will need a flat iron, or the TV infomercial rotating brush / Iron combination, to get your hair straight after you shampoo. 

Getting Permanently Straight Hair  can involve changing the internal structure of the hair bonds. This can be done with a Thio Based product. Think of it as a perm for straightening hair instead of curling it. Or... as a second alternative you can change the internal structure of the hair by  by  using an Lye Based product to permanently break down the bonds inside  the hair that make it curly. In both cases the internal bonds of the hair need to be stretched and the hair held straight, during the process.
